First Global 100 Principals China Tour opens in Henan

From 27 March to 2 April 2025, the first Global 100 Principals China Tour took place in Henan. One hundred heads of Chinese-language schools from more than twenty countries on five continents spent a week in the Central Plains for education dialogue, school visits and cultural immersion.

Chinese-language education in the age of AI

The tour centred on how Chinese-language schools overseas can adapt in the age of AI. Principals exchanged experience and discussed shared challenges, laying the groundwork for wider cooperation.

The culture of the Central Plains

The programme included in-depth encounters with the culture of the Central Plains, so that principals could understand Chinese civilisation at its historic sites and carry that understanding back to their schools.

Outcomes

• A standing exchange mechanism and a cross-border network of principals;
• The Global Chinese Principals Forum, hosted by Zhongxuesheng Xuexi Bao, held in Zhengzhou on 1 April;
• A Henan TV special report, "Studying in the Central Plains, Sailing to the Future".

The first edition laid the foundation for the Principals China Tour. The second and third editions followed in Henan; across three editions the tour has welcomed 180 principals from 34 countries.
