To deepen global Chinese-language education exchange, build bridges between overseas and domestic Chinese education communities, strengthen cultural identity among ethnic Chinese youth, and promote China’s fine traditional culture abroad, a delegation of 55 principals from overseas Chinese schools in 20 countries—including Canada, New Zealand, Finland, Australia, the United States, and Dubai—visited Bailuyuan Film & TV City on 30 October 2026. Organised by the Global Association of Cultural and Educational Exchange (GACEE), the visit featured immersive cultural study and field research.
Responding to practical needs in overseas Chinese-language education, the delegation conducted on-site research into Guanzhong-themed educational tours and inbound cultural-experience tourism products. Through in-depth discussions on co-developing study-tour curricula, adapting folk culture for overseas dissemination, and establishing two-way linkages between cultural tourism and overseas Chinese education resources, participants explored feasible pathways for integrating authentic traditional cultural experiences with overseas Chinese-language classrooms. The initiative supports the quality enhancement of premium inbound study-tour routes scheduled for 2027, enabling the rich Guanzhong cultural heritage—rooted in the Loess Plateau—to transcend geographical boundaries and reinforce overseas Chinese communities’ cultural and national identity.

The delegation toured core sites including Bailu Village and Zishui County Town, gaining deep insight into Guanzhong folk traditions and the distinctive humanistic spirit of Northwest China. They watched flagship live-action performances such as *Two Tigers Defend Chang’an* and *Heiwa’s Legend*, experienced intangible cultural heritage—including Qinqiang opera, Shehuo folk dance, and traditional handicrafts—first-hand, and systematically learned about the evolution of Guanzhong agrarian customs and traditional rites, directly engaging with the vibrant, living roots of folk culture.

As a key base in Shaanxi Province for traditional-culture-based study tours and overseas Chinese education exchanges, Bailuyuan Film & TV City leverages local folk traditions and literary intellectual property to create immersive, real-world classrooms—precisely meeting the practical need of overseas Chinese-language education to nurture patriotic sentiment and transmit Chinese cultural heritage among ethnic Chinese youth. Principals shared teaching experience grounded in the site’s scenario-based study-tour practices and jointly explored viable approaches for embedding traditional culture in overseas school campuses.
Moving forward, Bailuyuan Film & TV City will fully leverage its advantages as a cultural tourism and study-tour hub, uncover the contemporary relevance of traditional culture, iteratively upgrade study-tour offerings, innovate channels for cultural communication, and broadly connect with educational resources both domestically and internationally—using cultural tourism as a medium and study tours as a bridge, ensuring the enduring transmission and vitality of Chinese cultural heritage across continents.
