Overseas Chinese schools in the AI era: notes from a principals' workshop

People's Daily Overseas Edition reported on 6 August 2025 on a workshop for overseas Chinese school leaders at Wenzhou University, attended by 78 board members, principals and managers from 34 countries. Sessions covered AI teaching assistants, smarter teacher evaluation, AI-assisted lesson materials and homework analysis.

Participants said preparation that once took months could be done much faster, and the workshop led to agreements such as overseas recruitment points and school pairing. This matches GACEE's view: teachers lead, technology supports.
