To deepen global cooperation in Chinese-language education, expand overseas study-tour markets, and advance the international dissemination of fine traditional Chinese culture, on 28 October 2026, at the invitation of Huaqing Palace Scenic Area, a delegation of 55 principals from Chinese-language schools in 20 countries—including Canada, New Zealand, Finland, Australia, the United States, and Dubai—conducted an on-site inspection tour organised by the Global Association of Cultural and Educational Exchange (GACEE). The delegation assessed tourism and study-travel products tailored for inbound cultural tourism and international educational travel, supporting the refinement and upgrading of premium, diversified inbound tourism routes for 2027, and helping the millennium-old Tang Dynasty palace culture transcend geographical boundaries to gain global recognition.

The delegation immersed themselves in the scenic area’s atmosphere, deeply experiencing the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty imperial garden. They visited the Tang Imperial Hot Springs Museum to view up close China’s only surviving cluster of Tang-era imperial hot spring sites—including the Lotus Bath, Begonia Bath, and Crown Prince’s Bath—examining archaeological remains and exploring Tang imperial bathing rituals, courtly aesthetics, and architectural craftsmanship. Amid weathered ruins, they touched millennia of history and felt the inclusive, open, prosperous, and majestic spirit of the Tang era. During the visit, they also experienced the site’s ancient imperial hot springs, sensing the enduring warmth of springs flowing continuously for over 6,000 years.

Following the field inspection, Huaqing Palace delivered a dedicated presentation on its cultural tourism and study-travel offerings, detailing its cultural resources, red education system, established study-travel curricula, integrated reception services, and future plans for upgrading study-travel products—systematically showcasing its core strengths and development potential as both a base for traditional Chinese culture study tours and a red-themed patriotic education site.

As night fell, the delegation watched the live outdoor performance *The Song of Everlasting Sorrow*. Set against Mount Li and staged on the lake, this spectacular audiovisual experience vividly brought to life the poetic imagery and elegance of the Tang Dynasty, allowing overseas Chinese-language educators to deeply appreciate the romantic essence of classical Chinese poetry and the world-class standard of China’s live outdoor performances.

During the visit, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including cross-cultural exchange, coordination of overseas visitor sources, and export of study-travel curricula. Delegates highly commended Huaqing Palace’s profound cultural heritage, well-developed study-tour infrastructure, and rich immersive experiential offerings. They unanimously agreed that Huaqing Palace uniquely combines the aesthetic and moral education value of Tang Dynasty traditional culture with red-themed patriotic education significance; its mature operations, diverse settings, and deep historical roots make it exceptionally well-suited to meet the core needs of overseas Chinese students seeking ancestral roots, cultural immersion, and practice-based learning—making it an outstanding cultural tourism platform for global Chinese-language study tours and the dissemination of fine traditional Chinese culture.

Going forward, Huaqing Palace will continue strengthening long-term collaboration with global cultural and educational institutions and overseas Chinese-language schools, refining high-quality study-tour programmes rooted in traditional Chinese culture and red-themed education, and upgrading its international cultural tourism service system. Using study tours as a bridge and cultural tourism as a bond, it will sustainably promote mutual learning among civilisations, leverage global Chinese-language education networks to tell stories of Mount Li and spread Tang Dynasty culture worldwide, ensuring China’s millennia-old cultural lineage takes root overseas and nourishes the hearts of the Chinese diaspora—supporting the broader global outreach of fine traditional Chinese culture.
