ColumnsWorld Chinese Composition Competition

Dear principals and teachers,

The successful conclusion of the First World Chinese Essay Competition owes much to every unsung "behind-the-scenes hero" — your passion and exceptional organisational skills have built a bridge for Chinese-language learning across the globe!

Today, with the utmost respect, we proudly announce the winners of the Outstanding Organisation Award and Outstanding Tutoring Award for the First World Chinese Essay Competition! This weighty honour belongs to:

Schools that actively mobilised students and achieved broad participation, guiding numerous learners onto their Chinese writing journey;

Teams that meticulously planned and provided careful guidance, helping students’ submissions shine with insight and literary flair;

Educators who offered full support and enthusiastic engagement, paving the way for students’ participation in follow-up study tours.

You are the bedrock of Chinese-language international dissemination and vital drivers in passing on Chinese culture. Under your guidance, students have been able to "convey truth through writing and express emotion through pen", using words to depict their vision of a better world and showcasing, on the global stage, today’s youth’s love for Chinese and profound cultural literacy. Every submission reflects your dedication and expectations; the competition’s vibrant energy is collectively created by you!

This award represents recognition — and deep gratitude! Thank you for:

Opening the door to the Chinese-language world for your students!

Infusing the competition with continuous vitality and excellence!

Contributing outstandingly to fostering international understanding and cultural exchange!

Accordingly, the organisers have awarded the "Outstanding Organisation Award" and "Excellent Organisation Award" based on each school’s volume and quality of submissions, as well as students’ award outcomes. All tutors of winning students (see the previously published list of winners) will receive the "Outstanding Tutoring Award" (individual names will not be listed separately).

We warmly invite teacher and student representatives from all award-winning schools to attend the grand award ceremony in China at the end of July 2025! This will be not only a celebration of achievement but also a joyful gathering for all educators dedicated to Chinese-language education.

Even more excitingly, we have prepared an in-depth cultural study tour for you! As core supporters of the competition, we especially hope you will join us in person to:

Experience the breadth and depth of Chinese culture firsthand (intangible cultural heritage, history, modern development);

Engage directly with leading Chinese education experts and cultural scholars to discuss international Chinese-language education;

Exchange experience and spark ideas with outstanding organisers from around the world;

Jointly plan an even more inspiring edition of the next World Chinese Essay Competition!

This will be a precious opportunity to deepen your understanding of contemporary China, broaden your educational horizons, and build international education networks.

Dear partners, your enthusiasm and commitment are the competition’s most valuable asset!

We sincerely look forward to meeting you on Chinese soil in July and celebrating this milestone together!

We also eagerly anticipate your students’ continued active participation in the Second World Chinese Essay Competition — and more brilliant essays guided by you!

Let us continue working hand in hand to build a global platform where young people can write their dreams and connect the world — in Chinese!
