Each word and sentence flows with the bloodline of the Chinese people; each essay paints a shared moment across distant lands. Since its launch, the competition has bridged mountains and oceans, uniting participants through writing. After several rigorous and careful rounds of evaluation by the judging panel, the major awards have now been announced in this vibrant spring season.

From the imaginative musings of young children to the patriotic sentiments of adolescent students, this edition received thousands of submissions from learners in over 20 countries across all five continents. We sincerely thank the scholars and experts in Chinese-language education whose thoughtfully crafted prompts lit the way for students’ intellectual growth. We also pay heartfelt tribute to overseas Chinese-language school educators whose dedicated efforts ensure that Chinese characters continue to flourish abroad.

Today, with excitement and deep respect, we officially announce the winners of the Second World Chinese Writing Competition. In this cross-continental celebration of the Chinese language, outstanding young writers emerged across the primary, junior secondary and senior secondary categories. Grand Prizes, First, Second and Third Prizes, as well as Honorable Mentions, have all been awarded.
