Immersive study journeys that take young people from the China they wrote about into the China they can see, hear and touch.
The first journey, "Walking China, Continuing the Legacy", brought outstanding competition entrants into heritage sites, intangible cultural heritage workshops and modern technology, guided by scholars and heritage masters.
The second journey departed for Xi'an on 30 August 2026, exploring the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties from historical relics to contemporary urban life.
New routes are in development: Anhui for Hui culture and historic villages; Chaoshan for Lingnan culture, folk traditions and cuisine. Each route is a walking classroom with its own mentors, from academics to heritage bearers.
