The international study camp of the second World Chinese Composition Competition opens in Beijing on 30 August 2026, with cultural study, hands-on activities and exchanges drawing on the historical and cultural heritage of Beijing and Xi'an.
From writing about China to walking in China
The Association links the competition with in-depth study in China, so that young people overseas can move from the China they write about to the China they can see. Two "Walking China, Continuing the Legacy" camps have already taken place: the first in July 2025, from Beijing to the Central Plains; the second opened in Beijing on 20 September 2025, travelled through Anyang, Kaifeng, Dengfeng and Luoyang, and closed in Zhengzhou on 27 September.
