International Study Tours: “Walking China, Inheriting Cultur
The “Walking China, Inheriting Cultural Roots” International Study Tours, organized by the Global Association of Cultural and Educational Exchange (GACEE), offer immersive cultural learning experiences in China for global youth. Session I ran from July 23, 2025 (Beijing opening) to July 30, 2025 (Zhengzhou closing), covering Beijing, Anyang, Kaifeng, and Luoyang; Session II ran from September 20, 2025 (Beijing opening) to September 27, 2025 (Zhengzhou closing), covering Beijing, Anyang, Kaifeng, Dengfeng, and Luoyang. The second edition of the World Chinese Essay Competition International Study Tour opens in Beijing on August 30, 2026, with activities in Beijing and Xi’an.

The first journey, "Walking China, Continuing the Legacy", took place in July 2025 from Beijing to the Central Plains, bringing outstanding competition entrants into heritage sites, intangible cultural heritage workshops and modern technology, guided by scholars and heritage masters.
The second journey opened in Beijing on 20 September 2025, travelled through Anyang, Kaifeng, Dengfeng and Luoyang, and closed in Zhengzhou on 27 September. New routes are in development: Anhui for Hui culture and historic villages; Chaoshan for Lingnan culture, folk traditions and cuisine. Each route is a walking classroom with its own mentors, from academics to heritage bearers.
